We will commonly run a combination of tests prior to anethesia and for routine wellness care. Some examples of the tests we may run would include the following:

Complete Blood Count (CBC): This test gives us detailed information on red blood cell counts, white blood cell counts and platelets. This information can lead to early detection of bleeding problems, inflammatory conditions and leukemia.

Blood Chemistry: There can be several combinations of blood chemistries that are used for testing. Most often we are screening for chronic liver and kidney conditions, pancreatic disease, diabetes, hypothryoidism and varying forms of intestinal disease. *

All-Star Veterinary Clinic offers a complete in-house laboratory by IDEXX. This lab is used for routine work-ups and allows us to diagnose our patients quickly when problems arise. When needed, IDEXX also has an outside lab service that is available on a daily basis for more advanced testing procedures.
